Fun facts about March month!

  • March used to be the beginning of the calendar year. This changed to January 1st in 1752.
  • The last three days of March are said to be borrowed from April.
  • Coca-Cola was first introduced on March 29th,  1886.
  • The Eiffel Tower officially opened on March 31st, 1889!
  • March starts on the same day of the week as November, every year!

Turtle Watching Season (March 1st – September 30th)

Witness these amazing creatures, the Hawksbills, Green Turtles, Olive Ridleys, Loggerheads and the most famous of all the Leatherback turtle as they come ashore to lay their eggs on the second largest nesting ground in the world–Sangre Grande. The also happen upon Maracas, Las Cuevas and other popular beaches on Trinidad and Tobago.

Jazz Artists of the Greens 2013 (March 16th – 24th)

Leaning towards the Caribbean Jazz idiom for inspiration, Jazz Artists on the Greens® has grown into the largest Caribbean jazz event in Trinidad and Tobago with the potential to expand further. Adventure Seekers:Indoor Climbing (March 24th)

Hike to the beautiful Rio Seco Falls which is approximately thirty to forty-five minutes to this scenic water fall then the group will make their way back to the beautiful Salybia Beach. Cost: TT$50 (hike) additional TT$70 if transport is required.
